IV Therapy & Vitamin Injections in Toronto’s East End
Welcome to The Clara Clinic, your trusted source for IV Vitamin Therapy and vitamin injections in Riverdale, Leslieville, Danforth, the Beaches, and surrounding Toronto neighborhoods. Our treatments are designed to deliver high-impact nutrients directly into your bloodstream or tissues—bypassing the digestive system for fast, efficient absorption and real results.
IV Vitamin Therapy + Injections
What are IVs + Injections?
iv Vitamin Therapy
IV Therapy (also known as intravenous vitamin therapy, IV drips, vitamin drips, or IV hydration therapy) involves infusing safe, therapeutic doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients directly into your bloodstream.
With IV therapy, you don’t have to wait for nutrients to pass through the liver and digestive tract! Instead, nutrients are delivered directly to the blood stream. This means fast, 100% absorption of vitamins and minerals, instead of 10-20% of absorption we see with oral supplementation.
injections
Vitamin injections deliver nutrients directly into muscle, fascia, or fat tissue. Like IVs, they bypass the digestive system for improved absorption—but are used when certain nutrients cannot be safely or effectively delivered intravenously.
We offer both IVs and injections at The Clara Clinic so you get the right method of delivery for your unique health needs.
Why Choose IV Therapy or Injections?
Whether you’re managing a health condition or simply want to feel your best, these therapies help your body access nutrients more efficiently—without the side effects (like nausea or upset stomach) that sometimes come with high-dose oral supplements
Also, unlike oral supplements which only absorb at 10–20% due to breakdown in the liver and gut, IV vitamin drips and injections offer near-complete absorption. This allows your body to access the nutrients it needs—fast.
Whether you're looking to boost energy, support immunity, or recover from burnout, IV therapy can provide immediate and noticeable benefits.
Who Benefits from IV Therapy?
IV vitamin therapy and injections have a wide range of uses. Many people are not absorbing optimal nutrients due to poor digestion, food sensitivities, chronic inflammation, poor immune function, or chronic illness, which is why so many people find benefit from IV and injection therapies!
Treatment with IVs & injectables can help:
Increase energy
Enhance mood & mental clarity
Support digestion
Support hormonal imbalances
Support immune health
Support your body’s detoxification processes
Support fertility & egg quality
Support anti-ageing
Reduce pain (such as headaches, migraines, or pelvic pain seen in endometriosis)
Support symptoms & remission of autoimmune diseases
Provide integrative cancer care support
Also, since IVs & injectables bypass the digestive tract and liver, this also means treatment can be provided without the usual side-effects (i.e. upset stomach) that may occur with high-dose oral supplements.
IV Iron Therapy
What are Iron IVs?
IV iron therapy is a clinical infusion used to restore iron levels in individuals with iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia, particularly when oral iron supplementation is ineffective or poorly tolerated.
Unlike standard IV vitamin therapy, IV iron follows a more in-depth clinical process, including medical screening and diagnosis, prescription oversight, and monitored administration to ensure safety and appropriateness.
At The Clara Clinic, IV iron therapy is offered through a structured, evidence-based pathway designed to support patient safety, clinical appropriateness, and meaningful symptom improvement.
When can IV Iron Therapy be considered?
Short answer: when you have confirmed iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia
Iron plays a key role in oxygen delivery throughout the body. When iron levels are low, symptoms such as persistent fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, dizziness, hair thinning, and reduces exercise tolerance can develop – often impacting daily functioning and resilience.
Who Benefits from IV Iron Therapy?
IV iron therapy may be appropriate for individuals with confirmed iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia, especially when oral iron causes digestive side effects, isn’t well absorbed, or hasn’t led to meaningful improvement. This may include individuals with heavy menstrual bleeding, postpartum iron depletion, or conditions that impair iron absorption. IV iron therapy is not a general wellness or preventative treatment. It is offered only after appropriate medical review and lab confirmation to ensure it is clinically indicated and safe.

Our IV + Injection Process
step 1: complimentary IV + Injection therapy consult

We’ll take you through some screening questions, talk through your health goals, and answer any questions you have about IV therapy. Depending on your answers, we may have you complete blood work before your initial appointment.
step 2: initial iv + injection appointment
After your complimentary call, you’ll come in for your first appointment. We’ll complete a more comprehensive assessment and complete some physical exams before we get started to ensure IV + injection therapy is 100% safe for you. If all goes well, you’ll receive your first IV therapy treatment or injection.
step 3: iv treatment series
After your initial visit, we’ll set you up on a series of IV or injection treatments based on your goals and unique physiological needs.
step 4: maintenance
Once your treatment series has ended, and you’re feeling better, we’ll set you up with bi-annual to annual maintenance IVs + injections to ensure your results are sustained!
IV Iron Therapy: Important Information
IV iron therapy is not a same-day or drop-in service. Due to the medical oversight required, patients must complete the pre-assessment and prescription steps before an infusion can be booked.
Want IV therapy but already working with a Naturopathic Doctor?
No problem! We love collaborating with other Naturopathic Doctors. Have your Naturopathic Doctor fill out the referral form below and email it to info@theclaraclinic.com.
IV VItamin Therapy - what to expect
Do I need to be an existing patient to get IV therapy?
You can be a new or an existing patient of ours to receive IV therapy! Regardless, if you are new to IV therapy, you’ll require a complimentary IV consult (15 minutes) to ensure you’re a good candidate for IV therapy. If we feel IV therapy is a good fit for you, we’ll book you in for an initial IV therapy appointment. For some individuals, blood work will be required prior to initiating IV therapy.
What happens during my first IV appointment?
Before we get started, we complete a more comprehensive assessment and physical exams to ensure IV + injection therapy is 100% safe for you. If all goes well, we’ll get you set up with your first IV that day!
What happens during my follow up IV appointments?
With each appointment, we’ll complete some routine physical exams before initiating your IV + injection treatment. Then you can sit back and relax while the IV drips.
How many IVs do I need to feel better?
This depends on your treatment goals and will be discussed in your complimentary consult and initial visit with our IV certified Naturopathic Doctor.
How long does an IV take?
Treatment length can vary depending on the treatment bag and your unique physiology! Treatments can range from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. On average, an IV treatment typically lasts 1 hour.
What are the costs?
Costs vary depending on the treatment bag chosen and the length of time of your treatment! The cost can range from $135 to $300. Included in the cost is the consultation fee with our IV certified Naturopathic Doctor, which can be directly billed to extended health benefits plans.
Is IV therapy safe?
IV therapy is very safe, as long as the proper assessments are completed before you receive your IV treatment! This is why we all patients must go through our screening complimentary IV consult. We’ll make sure you’re a good candidate for IV therapy before you even get started, and complete necessary blood work and physical exams beforehand!
Does IV therapy hurt?
The needles we use for IV therapy are very tiny and are smaller than those used to draw blood! You may feel a prick as the needle goes in, but most people feel very comfortable. You may also experience some aching as the IV bag drips, but we are well equipped with warm packs to make your treatment as comfortable as possible!
How do I prepare for my IV treatment?
Make sure you come well hydrated to your IV appointments! It’s also super helpful to come in wearing clothing that allows for easy access to the veins in your arms. Feel free to also bring a book and your device so you can sit back and relax in our IV suite during your treatment! Free WiFi is provided to all IV patients.
What to Expect
Do I need to be an existing patient to receive IV Iron Therapy?
Yes. IV iron therapy is currently offered only to patients under the care of a naturopathic doctor at The Clara Clinic. This ensures appropriate clinical oversight, continuity of care, and safe coordination of treatment.
What happens during the pre-iron assessment appointment?
During this appointment, an IV-certified naturopathic doctor will complete a comprehensive review of your medical history, symptoms, and recent bloodwork to determine whether IV iron therapy is indicated and safe.
This visit also includes a detailed discussion of:
How IV iron therapy works
What to expect on infusion day
Potential risks, benefits, and contraindications
The infusion process, timing, and monitoring
Because the IV-certified ND is the clinician who will be administering and monitoring your infusion, this appointment is required prior to your first IV iron treatment.
What happens during an iron infusion?
IV iron infusions are administered in-clinic by an IV-certified naturopathic doctor under a delegated medical act.
Prior to the infusion, you will meet with a Nurse Practitioner to obtain the iron prescription. The Nurse Practitioner then formally delegates the administration of IV iron to your IV-certified ND, who performs the infusion and provides monitoring in clinic.
Iron is delivered intravenously, followed by an observation period to monitor tolerance and response.
How long does an iron infusion take?
Most IV iron infusion appointments take approximately 2 hours, including administration and post-infusion monitoring. Timing may vary slightly depending on individual needs and clinical considerations.
How many iron infusions will I need?
The number of infusions varies depending on your iron levels, symptoms, and clinical response. Your care team will guide you based on your individual treatment plan and follow-up lab results.
Is IV iron safe?
IV iron therapy is considered safe when clinically indicated and administered under appropriate supervision. At The Clara Clinic, treatment follows established protocols and includes pre-assessment, prescription oversight, and in-clinic monitoring.
How should I prepare for my iron appointment?
You will receive detailed instructions in advance. In general, patients are required to:
Pick up their prescribed iron medication from the pharmacy
Store the medication at room temperature
Bring the medication with them on infusion day, as iron is not kept on site
Additional preparation guidance will be provided prior to your appointment.
What are the costs involved?
IV iron therapy includes:
A pre-iron assessment appointment
A virtual appointment with a Nurse Practitioner to obtain the iron prescription and delegation
The IV iron infusion appointment
Full pricing is outlined clearly above (and here) to reflect the scope of clinical care involved.
