Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
The many milestones and transitions, expected and unexpected, that we experience in life are often made heavier and more overwhelming by the layers of expectation, preconceptions, and outside pressure that can accompany them. The idea that you’re supposed to follow a certain path, make a certain choice, or even have a certain reaction can dominate the experience of navigating any challenge.
Therapy can help to identify and illuminate these external factors and make it possible to access your true feelings, hopes, and intentions. The therapeutic relationship provides a non-judgemental and compassionate space where you can be heard, seen, and understood. I am passionate about creating a supportive environment that allows you to express yourself feely, gain clarity, and discover more about your own strengths, desires, and capacities.
I work from a strength-based and integrative perspective, grounded in the values-driven action methods of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and supported by narrative, emotionally-focused, and relational techniques. My approach is always client-centred and collaborative, prioritizing self-compassion as we work together to bring your discoveries more fully into your day-to-day life. My background in creative arts therapies offers us the freedom to incorporate a full spectrum of supportive and individualized techniques to gain insight into your particular needs, strengths, and goals. I care deeply about working respectfully with clients to access your inner resources, helping you to find ways to heal and thrive.
